Our first Hillbilly guest was Other Elvis, John Eaden, attending his first Hillbilly convention.

It's hard to smile with my mouth full
Upon seeing the size and elaborate decor of the convention, (and being embarrassed by getting photographed with food in his mouth) John was heard to say "This confirms what I thought. You're all CRAZY."

We were soon joined by Elvis Billy Kirk Wall; Fiddle Billy, Dennis Fetchet and the Marshalls.
First Hillbilly Arrivals
Howdy!
Be gentle, this is my first time out with fans without Disney security present

There's Debbie in the background to the right, and WHO IS the blond to the left?
It's so good to see someone else I really KNOW!

Dennis Fetchet gave up his Saturday night gig to be with us.

Bye bye
John's leaving = excuse for adding "decor" picture missed on Pg 1

Other Elvis Billy left even before the auction. Fearing he might not feel well enough for the Horseshoe the next day ;-) John wanted to get plenty of rest. As it ended up, Billy Red substituted Sunday for Other Elvis Billy, who was substituting for Elvis Billy, who was substituting for Elvis at The Endless Summer Classic Car Show.

This year's auction included Hillbilly memorabilia donated by the Hillbillies, AS WELL AS some very clever DBC members.
Fiddle Billy and Billy Bass action figures
Jan made four Hillbilly action figure dolls, which brought well over $100. The Brewers & friends made a custom Billy-opoly game with art work by Jan. There was a one-of-a-kind Hillbilly shirt by Amber...
The Auction The convention committee framed and packaged many of the items, making wonderful displays suitable for hanging in DBC members' homes.

Some of these items went into a raffle. Between the raffle and auction over $900 was raised for various charities and the Hillbilly travel fund.
